... ink like this mutha then I would be... probably still nit picking over my work, but at least everyone else would think it was awesome.
Today was amazing. Went to the German Christmas Markets with a friend and had the most fantabulous roast ham, fried onion and garlic sauce bun thing ever, found Christmas present for almost everyone and then found some more Christmas markets with victorian roast chestnut sellers! Apparently they caught in an interdimensional time vortex in the Town Hall and found themselve transported to 21st century Manchester in their original costume. Crazy, no?
We then trundled off to Retro Rehab and found so much gorgeousness for £1-£5... I got something like 5 dreses for £5 each - three absolutely perfect for summer - and a skirt, dress and large handkerchief for £1 each. Fortunately, I still haven't got omething suitable for The Gossip gig and afterparty on Monday, so I'll have to go there all over again (the woe!) to get another ridiculously cheap outfit. Life. It is hard.
Proof of the hardship that is life was the fact that we went to watch the 'War of the Roses' and found history rewritten as the Lancastrians got beaten by the Yorkists. That's right - we watched the Roller Derby bout at the Armitage, ready to congratulate ourselves on a fine win, only to realise the Leeds Roller girls managed to skate by and steal victory from our fingertips! It was pretty close with a margin of some twenty points and thoroughly seat-wetting in the last 10 minutes. Hopefully the next time the Rainy City girls meet the Leeds Dolls, we shall revert history to it's original course.
