Sunday! (today is actually Stewardship Sunday)

Our preacher today was some poor bloke, a little overweight, rather young with a very neatly trimmed short beard and moustache and equally neat suit. You could see from the looks of our congregation what we all thought of him - "Fresh meat!" - and I couldn't stop smiling throughout his whole sermon, no doubt making the gay clergyman sitting behind me, question the supposed high level of my maturity.

First off, his little microphone wasn't working so David - a fellow former chorister - called out telling him that we couldn't hear him. Poor guy - I felt so embarrassed for him!

Anyway, he had the most boring voice ever. He looked like he had something ironic stuck up his arse. He mentioned Pop Idol and how the 'nation was waiting for the result' at the beginning of his sermon, reconiling it with the wait of Advent for Christmas.

I hate Pop Idol or anything similar. Hate it with a passion. nil points to visiting Preacher.

Well, I was trying to be polite: I managed to stop giggling at the comments made by David, his wife and their friend behind me and attempt to put on a straight face at the cost of my tongue (ouch).

Anyway. What have I found so far on the internet in terms of religion, philosophy etc...

http://www.discordian.com - It kinda reminds me of 'The Invisibles'

and a bunch of other sites about Thelema.

Mmmm.... someone has given me a chocolate in my christmas card. Delicious.

My Baptist friend was telling me how the Baptists worst nightmare seems to be the Anglican Christian. I told this joke to a Canadian who I'm keeping in touch with (of evangelical persuasion) and said, "Boy do we get funny looks!"

Ellen - the Baptist friend - and I have both come to the conclusion that there is at least one thing in common both our denominations share: "Aaaaaaaaaargh! A Methodist!"

Sorry for that little piece of randimity...
Mood:: 'blah' blah
Music:: Aerosmiths (aaarrrrrrrrrgh)
