Am reading a graphic novel called 'Jimmy Corrigan'. Boy is it depressing, but not in the 'oh it makes me cry so much'. Just in the 'makes you realise how low you can feel'.

The sort of thing I'd draw, actually. Which reminds me. I am going to investigate about publishers. Could be my ticket to earning some real money (yes, real money, folks, not monopoly notes...)

Phillip Pullman recently said that if any Christians have a problem with the 'His Dark Materials' trilogy going on stage, they should write some decent Christian literature (as in, relating to persons - God, devil etc) out there, themselves. Put me in mind of the 'Left Behind' series, which I have't really read, but get the feeling that I'll utterly despise (consequently, I shall go off and get some information about it). God, I'm such a snob.

But like I'm going to do anything about it.

Anyway, Pullman kinda struck a chord in me, so I guess that means I'll spend all this week obssessing about a plot before forgetting about the damn thing for the next couple of years (!).

Found this on beliefnet. Can think of a thousand thing to contradict it but can't be bothered. Some of the views already posted are rather ironic, rather silly; rather frightening, rather impressive - whether I agree with them or not.

The whole thing is getting rather ridiculous, but I've always liked a good debate.

They did an interview with her in todays Telegraph magazine, and I remembered reading one or two of her articles before... However, as we haven't gotten round to American Politics in my Modern History class, I am just as confused as I am amused: the whole liberal vs Right-Wing seems to be taken a little too far.

Then again, I can't talk. I was watching Michael Howard and Tony Blair verbally abuse each other in the House of Commons with a fistful of popcorn screaming: "Hit him with the chair! The chair, get the chair!"
