Am reading a graphic novel called 'Jimmy Corrigan'. Boy is it depressing, but not in the 'oh it makes me cry so much'. Just in the 'makes you realise how low you can feel'.
The sort of thing I'd draw, actually. Which reminds me. I am going to investigate about publishers. Could be my ticket to earning some real money (yes, real money, folks, not monopoly notes...)
Phillip Pullman recently said that if any Christians have a problem with the 'His Dark Materials' trilogy going on stage, they should write some decent Christian literature (as in, relating to persons - God, devil etc) out there, themselves. Put me in mind of the 'Left Behind' series, which I have't really read, but get the feeling that I'll utterly despise (consequently, I shall go off and get some information about it). God, I'm such a snob.
But like I'm going to do anything about it.
Anyway, Pullman kinda struck a chord in me, so I guess that means I'll spend all this week obssessing about a plot before forgetting about the damn thing for the next couple of years (!).
