I found Manchester's equivalent to Camden market the other day. It was a not-so hot floor of a sort-of shopping arcade in the Northern quarter which housed, amongst other things, the 'Bead Shop', a rather naff looking 'vintage' clothing outlet and a small sublet of the infamous 'Cyberdog'. There was one goth-y shop (which won the award of being more overpriced than dear olde Camden Town, get them!) and another a sort-of fairygothmother place which stocked... one bustle (and a gazillion shitty little corsets) from the hallowed halls of the gothmother's den.

*sighs*

Having not been to Camden for a while (though I take it that it's still in the throes of the whole 'retro' thing), I could dream that upon my next visit, I'd find it the home of darlings such as on here. Ah, if only. Fortunately, I have a flatmate who thinks such things are cool, and is also pretty handy with his... hands. We can trawl throught he markets for nuts, bolts and goodness knows what else. Might even find that crinoline I've been looking for...
