Fanfic quibbles - numero uno

Can we have a bitchy Lupin more often please? Every time I read a fic with him and Snape as the central characters, Snape is a pretty pathetic excuse for a bastard (I mean, his sarcasm is just limp, dude) and Lupin is an annoyingly polite, humble jesus-figure. Yes, I know Lupin is a likeable character - far more so than Snape - but can we please spruce him up a bit? It is possible to be nice and a little snappy at the same time.
