Went out for a coffee with Maja on Monday which was great (well, duh!) after I'd had my hair done, (eurgh).

Things are getting interesting on Edge (http://www.edge.org/) again. It's funny, I can remember when memetics and information on the internet were to Edge what 'New Atheism' is right now. Ultimately, there has to be somewhere that keeps us updated - apart from raving but shortlived reviews of books, there's little about this new development within the intelligensia in mainstream media.

Anyway, I'm sure Bertrand Russel would be proud.

Sent off CV to some hospitals and... a few clothes shops in Croyden, would you believe (I figured if I don't get a job in a useful subject area, then I might as well get a job which comes with decent discounts...). Comic and book stores are out of the question, because I would actually spend all my time reading and snarling at customers a la Black books.

Mathematician of the week: Greg Chaitin (http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~chaitin/conversations.html). *hearts*

Not much to do with your post, but I'm reading Frege now, for the first time. He's amazing!

Gosh, he is pretty cool. Which book/paper/etc are you reading right now?

I have to read chapters 2 and 3 of his book "Logic and Philosophy of Language". I had to stop due to other RL problems, but I have to finish both before Tuesday! I may comment on the subject on any of my journals (!) if I have time.
