The first series of The Only Two is actually finished. Finally. Truly. Sincerely. No more rescans, no more redrawings. Completed.

See, it even has a (possible) back cover...

Fin.

Did the interview for a real job yesterday at 11 (I find it quite flattering they didn't realise how inexperienced I was until they read my CV. So it seems I can actually sound like I know what I'm talking about under pressure... Way.To. Go.) and missed the open day for a possible college that was today BUT for a good cause. It was only a 2 hr slot so I would've got lost trying to find the place and ended up not getting there anyway, and also because I was finishing all the illustration art! Just need to have a word with the friend about the cover on Sunday or possibly sooner and that's one bird down. In fact, thanks to said friend, my poster for this October's Black History Month celebration at the local church is also in the borough pamphlet. Rather spectacular.

Went out with Maja on Monday and she also succeeded in forcing me to give the address of 'The Only Two'. She liked it (with an exclamation mark) which was a further much needed boost to the ego.

Apart from that, just about everything is coming along quite well. Watched a repeat of Stephen Fry's guide to Manic Depression which was interesting and rather discomfitting, to be honest.

Are you two like... dating, now?

Oddly enough, no, though she does pay for the coffees (and an intimidating muffin), without asking me how I feel about it which is almost like dating. She knows that I like her, and she's flattered, but we seem to get on more as friends (though that does sound rather presumptuous of me) than anything else. Si bon, regardless.

Nawwwwwwww you're friends with a teacher!

Not just any teaher. Dude, she's from Bosnia!, lol.

She actually didn't mind of that stuff, though she's really easy going, so that shouldn't have surprised me at all.

So (although I probably would have found this out if I hadn't been absent from lj for so long) how many times have you two met up? And what's it like having a two-sided relationship with a teacher? Weird or are you over the hump of strangeness and now can talk like two actual human beings? I applaud you anyway, tis excellent xx

We've met up twice so far (though now September is approaching, I reckon that'll be it for now) and actually it's a lot of fun as a) she's incredibly easy-going. I mean if she were any nicer, I'd think she was on drugs (but then, maybe I'm just being cynical...) b) she doesn't seem to think I'm pretentious or over reaching myself, which is comforting (well, let's be honest, flattering!). It's not so weird (I say...) because we got on pretty well as strictly 'student-teacher' before, and now we're more at the 'hapless initiate-wise woman' stage.

Good to see you alive and kicking from Ozland (follow the yellow brick road...). Any cool pictures?

And once again, I return after a shamefully long absence. Sorry, flo! There are, many, which I will get round to posting, eventually, as I am ashamed to say that the evil monster of facebook has taken me hostage. So many time-wasting possibilities... Sigh. But I think it'd be worth you joining just to see the ones of Athene doing the wet T-shirt competition! She'll slap me for spreading that, but it makes such a good story. Oh, and check out the one of her sleeping as well. Heheheheh. Apart from that, they're mostly of us pulling stupid faces in order to amuse ourselves on incredibly long, boring and uncomfortable coach trips.

How're you at the moment? Did I read a mention of college somewhere? What is this? Exciting! xxxxx

Oh damn. I can never remember how to turn off the italics properly. Never mind.

ach, no worries. I have to admit, that does sound like a good enough reason to go enter the lascivious jaws of that scarlet woman that is the Facebook demon...

College isn't really that exciting. I'm just studying for some retakes January/June.

aah, ok. D'you know what course you want to do after that or are you just taking it as it comes? And what college is it? Hope the people are nice.
See you on Facebook? (here's hoping, anyway!)

Still Physics, which is the only reason why I'm doing retakes. The college is Hammersmith and West London, where everyone can tell I'm Igbo (I still don't get, how exactly, they just do) just by hearing my voice, which is utterly, utterly surreal after the, let's face it, pleasant white middle class unintentional wih-ness of Lady Margaret.

Igbo? Wih? I am clearly not quite down with the lingo

Igbo is the name of my tribe/people. We originate from southeastern Nigeria but of late have spread across the galaxy, selling cut price computer parts and cheap flight tickets like nobody's business...

Congratulations on the great interview! Most people freak out, way to go!

It was actually ok, I was surprised. I thought I'd make some stupid mistake or fidget too much. But then, the interview itself was quite short: the lady who did it was very succinct and got straight to the point which seems to desist one from rambling.
