One of the annoying things about being socially inept is that you always end up offending the people (the ones who think they know you and who you think you know in return), in the silliest of ways, who you never even thought of doing such a thing to. Dudes, I don't dislike you or nada, but if it's any reassurance, I am pushing my local GP for pills.

Ah, and because I feel slightly odd today - FILMS!

Films that I thought would be fantastic but ended up mediocore: 'Far from Heaven' (could have been so much better), 'Shaun of the Dead' (it isn't a bad film, don't get me wrong, but it isn't that funny, or even that unnerving), 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' ('nuff said) 'Tank Girl' (I love you really, honey, but the film! It could have been so much better between us!), 'Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring' (so sue me!) and 'Love Actually'.

Films that ended up being absolutely fantastic when I had my misgivings to begin with: 'The Hours' (which I think is mainly because Nicole Kidman looks nothing like Nicole Kidman) 'Hable con ella' (I thought that my love of Almodovar was a one off with 'Todo sobre mi madre'. I was soo wrong...) 'Peter Pan' (further proof that Jason Isaacs is indeed one sexy motherf****r) and 'To Sir with Love' (I love Brit 60's films. What happened?).

Films which are cult hits but I don' quite get why. Even though they're not exactly painful to watch: 'Monty Python's: the Meaning of Life.'

So that's out of my system.

We are now progressing onto different tenses in 'Athenaze' (the title of our Ancient Greek language class). It's difficult but then, I've been struggling with Spanish for 3 years, and it's pretty easy to pick up on. Our teacher is beginning to lighten up which is enjoyable to watch, though I don't know how long his patience will last as his class struggle with the new concept of Aspects (don't ask - take a class. Whoa. Rhymes).

What else to mindlessly type about?

Ah, yes, I've discovered my inner masochist - I have developed a mouth ulcer and take great pleasure in seeing how much I can get it to hurt.

And no, there have been no further experiments with socks.
