You know, I used to watch the Fox news channel for comic relief. I know it's cruel, but it's true. I found it quite informative (it certainly enabled me to see both sides of the story of the 'American Problem': ie, that the stereotype that all Americans are just a load of ignorant, slack jawed fundamentalists or sex mad, gucci obssessed socialites was untrue) but ultimately, not a channel from which I can get any real news. To be honest, I never even trusted CNN to give me anything like that, maybe a brief outline of what was going on but nothing interesting, mainly, and yes I'm biased, because most of the news readers were American, and that always concerned me, especially as the power of the Right Wing increased.
But now, it has also occurred to me that this is all the news that some of the richest people in the world get. That is it. A load of biased, shitty journalism. A load of biased shitty nutcases ranting and mouthing away about what they like to call 'politics'.
Well, that's my deep and philosophical insight over and done with. Thanks for listening.
