That is interesting. Collassians has always been one of my favorite of the epistles. I read a great book on the subject called the Collasian Syncreticism. His basic premise was that the people of Collassae had blended the Christian message with indigenous Jewish and Pagan traditions. I actually gleaned a lot of information about local Phyrgian practices and Apollo's oracular centers in Asia from the book.

Well I'm glad you found it interesting then. Currently, I am busy trying to find out more about Paul's own personal theology (from what we have in the epistles anyway) considering how much that has been based on his writings in the Church has been taken slightly out of context, which is why many liberal Christians disregard ST. Paul completely - a bit of a shame, I think.
